The Morristown Rotary Club (MRC) celebrated its annual holiday party at New Jersey’s oldest social club, The Morristown Club.

Members gathered for a festive evening of networking and fellowship to celebrate the holiday season. Steve Ellerman, president of the MRC then addressed the group with a year to date summary of Club achievements.

Club members were addressed by Brian Carroll, president of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick (FSSP) and Ryan Dawson, also from the FSSP. MRC members were informed of the various activities of the Friendly Sons and their role in helping plan the Morris County St. Patrick’s Parade coming in March 2022.

According to Dawson, “On Saturday, March 12, 2022, the Morris County St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps off on top of South Street at noon in Morristown thanks to the combined effort of the entire Parade Team. The Morristown Rotary Club will participate in the parade as it has done for many years.

Emcee of the evening, Jonathan Taylor, addressed the Club and led the introduction of guests. Taylor then provided the group with some colorful humor for its entertainment.

The Morristown Rotary Club is the local chapter of an international humanitarian service organization consisting of community volunteers.

Rotary meets weekly to discuss, adopt and plan service projects, recognize members successes and achievements, and enjoy fellowship, and welcomes people aspiring to do service for Morristown to attend one of these meetings in consideration of joining us. More information on Rotary and its centennial can be found here.

Kudos to the Rotary Club for making such great contributions, in volunteer acts and monetary support, to improve the quality of life in Morristown and the well-being of its citizens, particularly those that need a hand up.
